Silke Schwinger wrote more than 200 screenplays for TV series and specials, including the popular „Der Leihopa“, “Seniorenclub”, “Die liebe Familie” and the sitcom “Die Nachbarn” starring Otto Schenk.

She contributed scripts for documentaries, cabaret, operas and ballets.

Silke published ten novels as well as non-fiction and the play “Karpelstrasse Nr. 10”.

She co-wrote the books for the musicals “Die drei von der Tankstelle” and “Crazy Love”.

In 1998 she wrote book and lyrics for the musical comedy “Party Time”, composed by Johannes Glück.

Silke Schwinger is the recipient of numerous national and international awards for her novels and screenplays.
